Comparing the disadvantages of high energy consumption, heavy pollution and high cost of the thermal-process acid, the wet-process purified phosphoric acid is with lower costs. In recent years, the wet-process and the thermal-process purified phosphoric acid account for 85% and 15% respectively in foreign countries, while in China, for the industrial phosphoric acid, the ratio is 10% and 90% respectively. With the continuous implementation of double control actions (not only will the total amount of energy and resources be controlled, but the energy consumption to GDP ratio, water use, the use of land for construction will also be controlled), the wet-process acid certainly will substitute more market shares of the thermal-process acid.
